Alphacrete Acoustic

Alphacrete Acoustic is a unique masonry block specially developed to help control reverberation time. Achieving the right reverberation time is critical to the acoustic performance of that space. The changes made to Part’E’ of the building regulations in 2003, including the incorporation of BB93, ‘Accoustic Design of Schools’, have brought the question of sound absorption much more to the fore.

All of the surfaces within an enclosed space will effect sound quality. As the walls comprise the largest surface area, the materials used in the walls will have a considerable impact on the sound quality of that space. Acheson & Glover used almost 50 years of experience in the manufacture of bricks and blocks to address the issue of poor sound quality often found in halls and corridors.
