What information do I need to provide to get an accurate quote?

The following information is required: The type of product e.g. Paving, Brick or Garden Walls, accurate dimensions of the area. We offer an online quote system where you receive a quote back to your email.

How do I place an order and how do I pay?

Contact the relevant Brick & Paving Centre and talk to our trained sales personnel who will be happy to take your order. Payment can be made by cash, cheque or Visa at our Brick & Paving Centres. Alternatively, cheques can be posted or Visa payment can be made over the phone. For further information contact our Sales Personnel. Payment is normally due upon collection or prior to delivery.

Do Acheson & Glover deliver?

Acheson & Glover provide a nation-wide fast & efficient delivery service with a fleet of it's own specialist transport vehicles. Brick and Paving products are crane off-loaded at your site.

Can I collect goods from any of the company's manufacturing premises or Brick & Paving Centres?

Brick & Paving Centres only stock a small range of the most popular products. However, product can be transferred to the plant nearest you for collection but product must be paid for prior to delivery.

What is the effect of adding water to Ready Mixed concrete?

There is an optimum amount of water added to each mix design at batching stage to achieve the required concrete strength. The addition of water on site, while making the concrete easier to work, will definitely affect its strength and durability. Acheson & Glover will not accept responsibility for any concrete to which extra water is added at the customer's request.

How do I remove oil stains from my driveway?

Soak up excess oil as soon as possible. Then scrub with strong detergent and hot water. There are proprietary solutions, but it is virtually impossible to remove old oil stains. If your driveway is paved, consider replacing stained bricks. Avoid acid cleaners or bleaches as they may leach some of the colours..

if you visit one of our Brick & Paving Centres, you will see a wide range of available products. Our trained staff will be pleased to assist and advise you, without obligation. We can offer very special deals to customers who place sizeable orders. We also quanitfy the amount of product needed for your home if you bring your house plans - we measure them and give you an accurate quote.

Do you offer a Landscape Design Service?

Yes. for a fee of £250 a qualified landscape design architect will visit you on site to discuss your needs and offer product advice. You will receive an A3 scale drawing and an A4 colour copy detailing suggested hard and soft landscaping areas. Any additional drawings / planting are not included in this offer. Should you subsequently purchase our products to the value of £3000 + VAT or more the initial fee of £250 will be fully refunded. This service covers N. Ireland and counties Donegal , Sligo , Leitrim, Cavan, Monaghan and Louth.
