Novabrik rainscreen mortarless brick cladding can be used to create attractive house designs far exceeding current UK cost restrictions and are simple to install. Acheson & Glover is delighted to be associated with Century Homes who have met the challenge set by U.K. Deputy Prime Minister John Prescott to design family homes with a building cost of £60,000 (€90,000).
Their house was awarded a ‘very good’ eco-rating certificate from John Prescott when he visited Offsite 2005 – the BRE’s important exhibition of Modern Methods of Construction.
The Century Homes £60,000 house was clad entirely with Acheson & Glover’s unique rain screen system Novabrik. It is the first dry built brick clad house in the U.K. i.e. built without the use of any wet trades.
