Letterkenny Cinema
One of the fastest growing towns in Ireland, Letterkenny has a architecture which rivals many of Ireland’s towns and cities, with many a prominent building including Letterkenny Institute of Technology.
A recent addition to the town’s development is the new Century cinema – a six screen state of the art Cineplex, encompassing a grand foyer, high tech interior and modern design in and out. The architecture within the building reflects the modern facilities which are found inside.
Utilising Acheson & Glover’s Alphacrete masonry range to great effect Architects M&H Architecture Letterkenny have created an establishment with significant impact. Alphacrete Phoenix in Ernestone was used to create a contemporary bright entrance to the cinema, and architectural detailing was also added with Minerva Basalt along the building at floor level. In addition Acheson & Glover TerraPave Boulveard was used to pave the entrance – one which is sure to provide entertainment for the people of Letterkenny for years to come.
