A wide range of Acheson & Glover’s products has been used in the prestigious retail-warehousing scheme that forms part of the major Holywood Exchange development in Belfast Harbour Estate.
Comprising a total of 150,000 sq ft of retail space, the £11 million scheme has been designed by Hobart & Heron, a leading County Down-based architectural practice. Its modern, understated look and beautifully detailed landscaping perfectly complement its setting at the foot of Holywood hills.
It’s little wonder it has already won plaudits as one of the best quality retail parks in the United Kingdom.
Key structural elements have been placed outside the building to ensure interior flexibility as well as high visual impact. The use of steel trusses - a feature of many old Belfast buildings - is particularly notable, providing a strong link between the old and the new.
