Grove House Foxrock
Grove House comprises of 8 luxury and spacious apartments and 9 large detached houses. The project is situated on a mature site on Hainult Road, just off Westminster Road, adjacent to Foxrock village. Architects Frank Crowley & Partners have come up with a design for the houses which is traditional in style, with red roof tiles, white render, red brick and stone all utilised to ensure it is in keeping with the Edwardian feel of the houses in the area. The site is built on the grounds of Grove House, an Edwardian-style building that dates from the early 1900’s.Acheson & Glover supplied an extensive range of paving products to the scheme. In keeping with the traditional feel of the development Frank Crowley & Partners specified TerraPave® Country Cobble Cashel and complementary Cashel Kerb wall units for the surrounding pathways. There is a huge family space to the rear of the properties for al-fresco dining and entertaining. To give the luxurious feel to this area TerraPave® Natural Aggregate Flags (Sorrento Ground) were specified.
The large off-street parking area all within the secure environ provided by the mechanized entrance gates, provides tenants with a safe environ, within the boundary of such a busy city. Acheson & Glover Creagh Peat Brindle TerraPave® Permeable paving system was employed to great effect on roadways to enrich the landscape design whilst allowing the contractor to comply with the requirements of the Greater Dublin Strategic drainage survey and the subsequent Code of practice. In particular, great credit is due to the main contractor and his subcontractor, in providing speed restriction bumps in the paved areas in the same paving whilst maintaining the permeability of the surface paving. Clearly great care and consideration has gone into the design and construction of this site and Acheson Glover TerraPave® paving in its different forms has been used to great effect to complete such a stunning project.
