As the fifth fastest growing town in Ireland Edenderry has been the town of choice for the main retailing groups of Tesco, Musgraves and Lidl. Acheson & Glover contines to extend its retail park portfolio with the supply of its innovative TerraPave Permeable paving system.
With the recent opening of the new Tescos Store at Edenderry Co. Offaly, the Tescos stores portfolio now extends to 93 multi-format stores in Ireland. Acheson & Glover are pleased to be involved in assisting the consulting engineers Michael Punch and partners in providing TerraPave Permeable Paving System as a method of providing source control for storm water falling on the site.
Whilst this site afforded little opportunity to infiltrate water directly into the natural ground, the subbase stone provided the necessary storage capacity to hold and control the large volumes of rainfall from such a large site. The secondary benefit of the natural cleaning of the rainfall due to passing through such large volumes of stone, ensures that an improvement in water quality is realised from passage through the stone.
