Arlington Business Park Development
Part of Kier Group plc, Moss Construction has been providing construction services in the South and West Midlands for over 60 years.
One of the company’s biggest current projects is at the site of the former Rover car factory at Cowley near Oxford now being developed by Arlington Property Developments. The prestige 100-acre business park is attracting a growing number of high profile tenants including Harley-Davidson, Vodafone, Royal Mail and Inland Revenue.
Acheson & Glover has worked with Moss Construction on a number of the park’s high spec office buildings.
One of the largest projects – plot # 5500 - involved a building of unique architectural design featuring a high percentage of glazed screens to maximise light. Moss selected Acheson & Glover to supply 250mm deep long-span pre-stressed floor units for the premises along with numerous staircases. As the staircases are behind glazed curtain-walling and clearly visible from the outside of the building, the quality of the work was of paramount importance.
Moss Construction contracts manager, Ian Heeley, says the company was delighted with Acheson & Glover’s role in the project.
