Granulated Lime (G-Lime)
G-LIME, the locally produced, almost dust free granulated lime, which boosts sward output and palatability is marketed by ABN across Northern Ireland and the northern counties of the Republic and by ABN’s sister company, KW Forage Systems in the Republic.
ABN, based at Knockmore Mill, Lisburn has been granted exclusive rights by Acheson and Glover to market G-Lime to farmers and contractors from their innovative £5 million granulated lime plant at Belcoo, Co Fermanagh.
One of the most modern such facilities in the world Acheson and Glover's plant manufactures granulated, magnesium lime supplied in Bulk, 600 Kg dump bags (IBC’s) and 50 kg bags for easy application using artificial fertiliser spreaders.
Welcoming the new marketing agreement Acheson & Glover’s General Manager at Belcoo, John Ward said that granulated lime is a primary product manufactured at the award winning plant and G-Lime™ is not a byproduct of another process.
Already 12 Jobs have been created at the site , which is designed to the highest environmental standards. I firmly believe this world class technology will play a key part in helping farmers maximise outputs for minimal outlay. G-Lime, now available from ABN, is a safe, easy product to handle and brings liming into the 21st century.
