Save the Children (Northern Ireland) is one of this year’s beneficiaries of County Tyrone-based Acheson & Glover’s benevolent programme through which the construction materials manufacturer donates money to charities instead of distributing corporate Christmas gifts.

The cheque was presented recently to Carol Laird, chair of Save the Children’s Dungannon branch by David Boland, the company’s sales and marketing director.

The other organisations receiving donations under the programme are the Lighthouse Club - the construction industry charity – and the Irish Wheelchair Foundation.
