The Westlink Belfast
The Westlink and M1 upgrade aims to widen the M1 from junction one (Broadway) and the A12 Westlink in Belfast, to three lanes as far as Divis Street with a total cost of £104 million. Two roundabouts which are at present serious conjestion points will be totally bypassed with the provision of two flyovers. Acheson & Glover have already supplied numerous construction products to the scheme including masonry blocks, manhole rings, manhole chambers, road kerbs and retaining walls. The photographs below show the retaining wall under construction at the Balmoral roundabout.
