At Acheson Glover, we consider that in most situations there is no requirement to use a geotextile between the laying course and the sub-base. It is therefore imperative that the grading of the two layers are compatible to prevent migration of fines from the laying course into the sub-base. The grading given in Table 2 is specifically designed to be compatible with the gradings in Table 1.
